Description

A delightful casserole combining flaky croissants and savory beef, perfect for family breakfasts or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 pound ground beef, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite kind)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped veggies like bell peppers or spinach for added nutrition

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the torn croissant pieces, cooked ground beef, and shredded cheese. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissant and beef mixture, ensuring everything is well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra richness, consider using half and half instead of milk. Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before slicing for better shape.
