Description
A juicy burger recipe packed with flavor, perfect for barbecues or weeknight meals.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 4 slices American cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 4 burger buns
- Condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.)
- Optional: fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, or onions
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Don’t overwork the meat to keep it tender.
- Form patties, making them slightly larger than the buns to allow for shrinkage while cooking.
- Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of each burger during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble your burgers, adding your choice of condiments and toppings.
Notes
For optimal juiciness, resist pressing down on the patties while they cook and allow them to rest post-cooking.
