Description
A delightful blend of juicy beef and crispy toppings in a rich sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or your favorite)
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Red onion rings
- Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise for topping
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into evenly sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Season each patty generously with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side before flipping.
- After flipping, add cheese slices on top and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a separate skillet for about 1 minute.
- Assemble by placing the cooked patties on the buns and adding lettuce, tomato, onion, and your choice of condiments.
Notes
For best results, make a slight indentation in the center of the patties before cooking to prevent puffing. Pair with crispy fries or coleslaw.
