Description

A delightful blend of juicy beef and crispy toppings in a rich sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or your favorite)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion rings
  • Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise for topping
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into evenly sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Season each patty generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the patties for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side before flipping.
  5. After flipping, add cheese slices on top and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a separate skillet for about 1 minute.
  7. Assemble by placing the cooked patties on the buns and adding lettuce, tomato, onion, and your choice of condiments.

Notes

For best results, make a slight indentation in the center of the patties before cooking to prevent puffing. Pair with crispy fries or coleslaw.
