Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1/2 cup beef bacon, diced (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 4 cheese slices (American or cheddar)
- 4 hamburger buns
- Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, or anything you prefer
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, slightly larger than the hamburger buns.
- If using beef bacon, cook it in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness.
- Add a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and adding desired toppings.
Notes
For juicy patties, make a small indentation in the center before cooking and let them rest after cooking for better flavor.
