Description
Warm, gooey brie and tart cranberries nestled in flaky pastry—a perfect appetizer for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz brie cheese (cut into slices)
- 1 cup cranberries (fresh or canned)
- 2 tbsp sugar (for sweetness)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 2-inch squares.
- In each square, place a slice of brie cheese and a spoonful of cranberries.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form little pockets. Use a fork to seal the edges firmly.
- Whisk the egg in a small bowl, then brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash for that golden finish.
- Arrange the bites on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and puffed up.
- Serve warm and watch them vanish!
Notes
Feel free to substitute cranberry sauce for fresh cranberries for an easier version. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
