Description

Succulent chicken paired with vibrant asparagus and a rich creamy sauce for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 cup of heavy cream (or a lighter alternative)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or thyme)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, place the chicken breasts and surround them with the trimmed asparagus.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the chicken and asparagus evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over the dish and cover it with foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Marinating the chicken in olive oil and herbs adds extra flavor. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
