A comforting and nostalgic cheesy chicken casserole that’s easy to prepare and perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (use gluten-free if needed)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, milk, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread half of the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Layer Swiss cheese on top, followed by the remaining chicken mixture.
- Top with cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs, drizzling olive oil over the breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
Serve hot garnished with fresh parsley. This dish can be made ahead of time and is suitable for freezing.
