Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup toffee bits
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before transferring it onto a wire rack.
- While the cake cools, heat the heavy cream and stir it into the caramel sauce until well blended.
- Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the caramel mixture over the top and sprinkle with toffee bits.
- Let it set before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute the flour with almond flour. Make the caramel sauce in advance for convenience.
