Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet of Italian dressing mix
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- Parmesan cheese (for serving)
- Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and chicken broth until smooth.
- Pour this mixture over the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- About 30 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions.
- Once the chicken is cooked, shred it right in the crock pot and stir it into the sauce for full flavor immersion.
- Serve the creamy chicken over the angel hair pasta, and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese and parsley on top for garnish.
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using Greek yogurt in place of cream cheese, or swap chicken for turkey. Searing the chicken breasts before adding to the crock pot can enhance the flavor.
