Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken in a velvety sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Add minced garlic and pour in the chicken broth.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a separate pot.
  6. Drain the pasta and mix it into the slow cooker until well combined.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth or use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also add steamed broccoli or sautéed mushrooms for extra veggies.
