Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers or onion)
- Optional toppings: chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add broth and seasonings: Pour the chicken broth over the chicken and sprinkle in the seasonings.
- Layer vegetables: Add any chopped vegetables you prefer, distributing them evenly.
- Top with cream cheese: Place the block of cream cheese on top of the ingredients without stirring.
- Cook low and slow: Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and easy to shred.
- Shred the chicken: Once done, shred the chicken inside the slow cooker and mix everything until well combined.
Notes
For best results, use chicken breasts of similar size. Adjust seasonings to taste. Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
