Description
Juicy chicken breasts cooked in a rich and creamy Italian herb sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it cook in the sauce for about 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Feel free to substitute heavy cream with a dairy-free alternative if desired. For added depth of flavor, consider marinating the chicken in herbs and olive oil for a few hours before cooking.
