Description

Juicy chicken breasts cooked in a rich and creamy Italian herb sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it cook in the sauce for about 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute heavy cream with a dairy-free alternative if desired. For added depth of flavor, consider marinating the chicken in herbs and olive oil for a few hours before cooking.
