Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces pasta of your choice (penne works well)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil, to garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the chicken. Cook until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and let rest.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain.
- Slice the chicken and add it to the sauce along with the cooked pasta. Mix well to combine.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
For a sumptuous presentation, consider adding a sprinkle of extra Parmesan on top and serving with garlic bread.
