Description

Juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, velvety sauce, perfect for cozy dinners and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth or stock
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons mixed herbs (like thyme and rosemary)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat and brown the chicken skin-side down for about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken and sauté the onions and garlic in the same skillet until soft.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, skin-side up, and transfer to the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in seasoning for a few hours or overnight. Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed greens.
