Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth or stock
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 teaspoons mixed herbs (like thyme and rosemary)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for sautéing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat and brown the chicken skin-side down for about 5-6 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and sauté the onions and garlic in the same skillet until soft.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, skin-side up, and transfer to the preheated oven.
- Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
