Description

A comforting dish of airy penne pasta, tender peas, and crispy beef bacon that’s perfect for weeknight meals or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 4 oz beef bacon (or other preferred meat)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the beef bacon and cook until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the peas and cook for a couple of minutes until heated through.
  5. Drain the pasta, then add it to the skillet along with the beef bacon. Toss everything together, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a light salad and a side of garlic bread. You can add fresh herbs like basil or parsley for extra flavor.
