Description
Delicious chicken tacos enveloped in creamy queso and served in warm tortillas. Perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 cup creamy queso sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 tortillas (corn or flour)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Olive oil (for cooking)
- Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, avocado, fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season your chicken with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until it’s cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.
- In the same skillet, add the creamy queso sauce and the cooked chicken. Stir everything together, letting it warm through for about 2-3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, warm your tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
- Spoon the cheesy chicken mixture generously onto each tortilla, then garnish with your choice of toppings.
