Description

This delightful casserole combines the richness of beef with the tanginess of sour cream for a comforting and indulgent dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onions, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well combined.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles with the beef mixture.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider substituting ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.
