Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onions, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles with the beef mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Notes
For a healthier version, consider substituting ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.
