Description

A warm and hearty soup that combines tender steak, creamy richness, and satisfying potatoes to create a comforting meal perfect for chilly evenings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, cubed
  • 4 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add cubed steak and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned.
  3. Toss in chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened and fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Add diced potatoes, reduce heat, and allow to simmer for 15–20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Let the soup simmer for an additional 5 minutes, then serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For different flavors, you can swap beef with chicken or a plant-based alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
