Description

A delightful turkey and cheese sandwich with crispy toasted bread and fresh greens.

Ingredients

  • Slices of whole grain or sourdough bread
  • Cooked turkey breast or deli turkey
  • Cheese (like provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar)
  • Fresh spinach or arugula (optional)
  • Olive oil or butter for grilling
  • Optional spreads (like mustard or aioli)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or panini maker over medium heat.
  2. Spread olive oil or butter on the outside of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer turkey and cheese, adding a handful of spinach or arugula if desired.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top.
  5. Grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 5-7 minutes per side if using a skillet. If using a panini maker, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra crispy finish, consider using a panini press. Add herbs or spices for enhanced flavor.
