Ingredients
- Slices of whole grain or sourdough bread
- Cooked turkey breast or deli turkey
- Cheese (like provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar)
- Fresh spinach or arugula (optional)
- Olive oil or butter for grilling
- Optional spreads (like mustard or aioli)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or panini maker over medium heat.
- Spread olive oil or butter on the outside of each slice of bread.
- Layer turkey and cheese, adding a handful of spinach or arugula if desired.
- Place the second slice of bread on top.
- Grill the sandwich until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 5-7 minutes per side if using a skillet. If using a panini maker, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For an extra crispy finish, consider using a panini press. Add herbs or spices for enhanced flavor.
