Description

Deliciously crispy chicken coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by slicing your chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for the marinade.
  3. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes; for deeper flavor, consider overnight.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the marinated chicken pieces in cornstarch until well-coated.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry the chicken until golden and crispy, about 6-8 minutes on each side.
  7. Once cooked, reduce the heat and pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly, coating the chicken.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute the soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos. For an extra crunch, double-dredge the chicken in cornstarch before frying.
