Description

Deliciously crispy chicken with a satisfying crunch, perfect for family meals or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Olive oil (for frying)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one for the flour, one for beaten eggs, and the last for a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper before dredging each piece in flour, then dipping it in the egg, and finally coating it in the breadcrumb mix.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the coated chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer to a baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For extra crunch, mix in crushed cornflakes or panko breadcrumbs with the standard breadcrumbs. Ensure the oil is hot to prevent sticking.
