Description

Delicious oven-baked tacos filled with seasoned ground beef and topped with gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 taco shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup refried beans (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • Sour cream for serving
  • Salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and cook according to package instructions. If using, add refried beans and mix until heated through.
  4. Assemble the tacos: spoon the meat mixture into the taco shells and place them upright in a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of each taco.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce.
  8. Serve with sour cream and salsa.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can sauté onions or garlic with the ground beef. Baking a double batch is a great idea for quick future meals.
