Description
A delightful weeknight dinner featuring chicken coated in crispy parmesan and smothered in a rich garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs (panko works well)
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the grated parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt half the butter and add the chicken. Cook until golden on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Once the chicken is browned, transfer it to a baking dish and finish cooking in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- In the same skillet, add the rest of the butter and minced garlic, sautéing briefly before adding it over the chicken during the last few minutes of baking.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
Notes
For added freshness, a squeeze of lemon juice over the top before serving can enhance the flavors remarkably.
