Description

A comforting slow-cooked dish featuring tender chicken and a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Layer the chicken by placing the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, pepper, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning over the chicken.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Pour this mixture over the seasoned chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and serve over rice or pasta for a hearty meal.

Notes

For thicker sauce, remove the lid in the last hour of cooking. You can substitute cream of chicken soup with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
