Description

A comforting casserole of creamy potatoes and savory beef, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Add half of the cooked ground beef, followed by half of the onion and a sprinkle of cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, onions, and cheese.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth evenly over the top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or crusty bread. For added flavor, consider including garlic or herbs while cooking.
