Description

Tender beef short ribs slow-cooked to perfection, infused with savory flavors for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef short ribs generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Layer the chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned beef ribs on top.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture over the ribs.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the meat is incredibly tender and practically falling off the bone.
  6. Once cooked, serve the ribs hot, garnished with fresh herbs for a pop of color.

Notes

For added flavor, consider browning the short ribs before slow cooking. You can substitute the beef broth with vegetable broth or use tamari for a gluten-free version.
