Description

A comforting and flavorful chicken dish that cooks effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked pasta for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on top.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, add mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. Cover to allow the cheese to melt beautifully.
  5. Serve the chicken over a bed of cooked pasta.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider searing the chicken before adding it to the crockpot. Add vegetables for a more nutritious one-pot meal.
