Description

A hearty and flavorful beef roast slow-cooked to perfection, ideal for busy days or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers, with some juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: 1 onion, quartered

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  3. Pour the beef broth around the meat.
  4. Scatter the pepperoncini peppers on top and add their juice.
  5. If desired, add quartered onions.
  6. Cover and set the slow cooker to low for 8 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
  7. Once done, shred the beef using two forks and mix it back with the juices.

Notes

For deeper flavor, consider searing the beef roast before slow cooking. You can experiment with different seasoning mixes or add herbs like thyme.
