Description

A rich and indulgent dessert featuring dark chocolate, perfect for gatherings and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: confectioners’ sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your cake pan by greasing it lightly and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually incorporate the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, mixing well.
  5. Carefully fold in the flour and salt until just combined, being cautious not to overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Once baked, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the most intense chocolate flavor, select high-quality dark chocolate and ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
