- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 ½ cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
- ½ cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (dark chocolate recommended)
- Sliced bananas or nuts (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with sliced bananas or additional chocolate chips, if desired.
- Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
