Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, beaten egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a prepared baking dish.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until smooth.
- Generously spread the glaze over the meatloaf, ensuring even coverage.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until the meatloaf is fully cooked through (an internal temperature of 160°F/70°C).
- Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving to enhance the flavors.
