Ingredients
- 1 cup soda (your favorite variety)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (optional for a chocolatey flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soda, sugar, and vegetable oil. Blend well.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing to incorporate.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder (if using).
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
