Description

Crispy and flavorful salmon patties made from canned salmon and pantry staples, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (like parsley or dill)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flaked salmon with bread crumbs, diced onion, herbs, egg, and mayonnaise.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat a thin layer of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and drain excess oil on paper towels before serving hot.

Notes

For added flavor, serve on a bed of fresh greens with lemon sauce or a dollop of creamy dill sauce.
