Description

Tender chicken thighs slow cooked in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for summer gatherings or busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (or 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  2. Season the Chicken: Sprinkle the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, ensuring all sides are seasoned evenly.
  3. Combine in the Crockpot: Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the honey garlic sauce over them, ensuring they are well-coated.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours or high for about 2 hours.
  5. Serve: Once the chicken is tender and cooked through, serve it hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Ensure chicken reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
