Description

A savory stir-fry of tender beef sirloin and vibrant broccoli in a rich sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for about 20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan, cooking until browned (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Toss in minced garlic, stirring for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Introduce the broccoli and beef broth to the skillet. Stir and let simmer.
  6. Cook until the broccoli is tender and the sauce thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
  7. Mix in oyster sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

For a sweeter finish, substitute oyster sauce with hoisin sauce. Serve with jasmine rice or cauliflower rice.
