Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for about 20 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan, cooking until browned (about 3-4 minutes).
- Toss in minced garlic, stirring for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Introduce the broccoli and beef broth to the skillet. Stir and let simmer.
- Cook until the broccoli is tender and the sauce thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
- Mix in oyster sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice.
Notes
For a sweeter finish, substitute oyster sauce with hoisin sauce. Serve with jasmine rice or cauliflower rice.
