Description

A comforting breakfast that combines the beloved flavors of pizza with hearty eggs for a unique twist on traditional fare.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers (any color)
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup cooked ground beef
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Sauté the diced onion and bell peppers until softened (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Add the cooked ground beef and Italian seasoning, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, whisk the eggs until blended, then pour them into the skillet over the mixture.
  6. Cook until the edges begin to set, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for another 3-5 minutes until the eggs are fully set and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil, if desired. Serve warm.
