Description

Tender, shredded chicken that is perfect for tacos, salads, and more. Easy to make and full of protein.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for cooking)


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, and other spices.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes each.
  3. Add the chicken broth to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low. Let it simmer until the chicken is cooked through, approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet, letting it cool slightly. Use two forks or a hand mixer to shred the chicken.
  5. Return the shredded chicken to the skillet, stir well to coat with the remaining broth, and adjust seasoning as needed.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken before cooking. Use an instant-read thermometer for perfect doneness (165°F).
