Description

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season the beef short ribs generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium-high heat and sear the ribs on all sides until browned.
  3. In your slow cooker, combine chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, red wine, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring gently to mix.
  4. Carefully place the seared short ribs into the slow cooker, ensuring they are submerged in the liquid.
  5. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
