Description

A delectable slow cooker dish featuring tender chicken thighs in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it, ensuring it’s all well-coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours or on high for approximately 2 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours before cooking. Serve over rice, quinoa, or as a filling for tacos.
