A comforting casserole with ground beef, pasta, and cheese, perfect for busy evenings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked pasta (shells or similar)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar works well)
- 1 cup broth (chicken or vegetable)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, uncooked pasta, cream of mushroom soup, and broth. Stir well until evenly mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For added flavor, sauté garlic and onions before adding the beef. This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator or frozen for later. Pair with a garden salad for a complete meal.
