Description

A comforting baked chicken dish featuring succulent meat in a rich, creamy sauce that’s perfect for busy days and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup (or homemade version)
  • 1 envelope of onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley) for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear on both sides until golden brown.
  3. Combine chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and onion soup mix in a bowl. Stir until blended.
  4. Place the seared chicken in a baking dish, then pour the soup mixture over it.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to crisp the chicken.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. A splash of lemon juice before serving can brighten the dish.
