- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or your favorite herbs)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry, then season them with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and thyme. Stir well.
- Place chicken in the crockpot and pour the garlic butter mixture over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once done, shred the chicken lightly with two forks and mix with the juices. Serve immediately.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the garlic butter mixture for a couple of hours before cooking. You can also sauté the garlic prior for added depth, and always keep the lid on during cooking.
