Description

This savory oven-baked salmon with garlic butter is quick, budget-friendly, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser perfect for weeknight meals or dinner parties.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds whole salmon fillet (skin-on)
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter (or substitute with olive oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for caramelization)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, blend melted butter, minced garlic, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the salmon, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  5. For an extra caramelized crust, switch to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  6. Allow the salmon to sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a stunning presentation, serve the salmon with lemon wedges and fresh herbs like parsley or dill. Pair it with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
