Ingredients
- 2 pounds whole salmon fillet (skin-on)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter (or substitute with olive oil)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for caramelization)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt (to taste)
- Ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, blend melted butter, minced garlic, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the salmon, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- For an extra caramelized crust, switch to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
- Allow the salmon to sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a stunning presentation, serve the salmon with lemon wedges and fresh herbs like parsley or dill. Pair it with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
