Description

A delightful and easy garlic butter salmon recipe that combines rich flavors with quick preparation, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then sauté the minced garlic and red pepper flakes for about 30 seconds.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable, and sear for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 3-5 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Remove the salmon and add the remaining butter, lemon juice, and parsley to the skillet to create the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the salmon and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute olive oil for butter and feel free to switch parsley with fresh dill.
