Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then sauté the minced garlic and red pepper flakes for about 30 seconds.
- Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable, and sear for 4-5 minutes.
- Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 3-5 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove the salmon and add the remaining butter, lemon juice, and parsley to the skillet to create the garlic butter sauce.
- Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the salmon and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute olive oil for butter and feel free to switch parsley with fresh dill.
