Description
A comforting bowl of ramen featuring tender chicken, a rich garlic sauce, and perfectly cooked noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 4-6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 packs ramen noodles (discard included flavor packets)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Sliced green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame oil (to taste)
- Fresh vegetables (like spinach or bok choy)
Instructions
- Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add the chicken breasts to the pot and sear on both sides until lightly browned.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked, approximately 15 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks. Set aside.
- Increase the heat to boiling and add the ramen noodles to the broth. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until just tender.
- Reduce the heat, then stir in the heavy cream and soy sauce. Add the shredded chicken back into the pot, allowing everything to meld together for a minute or two.
- Toss in any fresh vegetables you desire and remove from heat.
- Serve by ladling the creamy ramen into bowls and finishing with sliced green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil.
Notes
If using frozen chicken, ensure it’s fully thawed before cooking. Adjust cooking times if necessary. For a lighter option, use coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
