Description

A comforting bowl of ramen featuring tender chicken, a rich garlic sauce, and perfectly cooked noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 4-6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard included flavor packets)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame oil (to taste)
  • Fresh vegetables (like spinach or bok choy)

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the pot and sear on both sides until lightly browned.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked, approximately 15 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks. Set aside.
  5. Increase the heat to boiling and add the ramen noodles to the broth. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until just tender.
  6. Reduce the heat, then stir in the heavy cream and soy sauce. Add the shredded chicken back into the pot, allowing everything to meld together for a minute or two.
  7. Toss in any fresh vegetables you desire and remove from heat.
  8. Serve by ladling the creamy ramen into bowls and finishing with sliced green onions and a drizzle of sesame oil.

Notes

If using frozen chicken, ensure it’s fully thawed before cooking. Adjust cooking times if necessary. For a lighter option, use coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
