Description

Delicious garlic mushrooms that add rich flavor as a side dish to any meal.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mushrooms (such as cremini or button)
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: a splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Begin by cleaning the mushrooms gently with a damp cloth to remove any dirt.
  2. Slice the cleaned mushrooms into even pieces to ensure they cook uniformly.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms without crowding the pan.
  5. Sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the pan and stir for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Season the mushrooms with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice, if using.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, add garlic at the end of the cooking process. Use fresh mushrooms for optimal taste.
