Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup milk
- Optional: ketchup for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, chopped onion, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually stir in the milk until the mixture is well combined, but be careful not to over-mix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
- If desired, spread ketchup on top for added flavor.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added moisture, consider mixing in Worcestershire sauce or diced bell peppers. Avoid overworking the meat mixture to maintain tenderness.
