Description

A rich and creamy garlic parmesan pasta made with simple ingredients comforting, flavorful, and perfect for an easy weeknight dinner or cozy gathering.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or lighter alternative)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional add-ins: grilled chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, or spinach

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds, until fragrant (do not brown).
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Roast garlic beforehand for deeper flavor.
  • Add cooked chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
  • Use half-and-half or plant-based cream for a lighter version.
  • Sauce thickens as it cools—add a splash of pasta water if needed.
