A warm, homemade glazed meatloaf that brings comfort and joy to any table.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup ketchup (or BBQ sauce)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, eggs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and mustard. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to create a glaze.
- Pour the glaze over the meatloaf, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until a meat thermometer reads 160°F (70°C) in the center.
- Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze individual slices for up to 3 months.
