Description
This grilled chicken is infused with a perfect mix of sweet honey and tangy lime, complemented by spicy chili for a flavor explosion that will impress your guests.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lime wedges, for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk together honey, lime juice, olive oil, chili powder, cayenne pepper, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Place chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavor).
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Discard the leftover marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 7-8 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Remove from heat, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
For optimal flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Using a meat mallet to pound the chicken to an even thickness can enhance tenderness.
